Julien Helaire David, 1st son and 1st child of Paul Helaire David I and Josephine Langlinais was born on 10 March 1845 in New Iberia, Louisiana, Iberia Parish. He was baptized on 30 October 1847 at Saint Peter's Catholic Church, New Iberia, Louisiana by Father N. Francias. His sponsors were Fr. Julien Priour and Celeste Langlinay.

It is believed Julien Helaire's infant and early childhood years were spent in New Iberia where his 1st three siblings, Marie Edille (1847), Louis Helaire (1849) and Marie Latetia (1851) were born as recorded in the 1850 United States Federal Census (page 467, line 32, dwelling 109, family 109). Based on the birth location of his 4th sibling, Adrien, the family would have migrated to Youngsville, Louisiana between June 1751 and November 1754.

Julian Helaire died of diabetes at the age of 65 years in Youngsville, Louisiana on 12 March 1910 and was laid to rest in Saint Anne Catholic Church Cemetery.

On 30 March 1869 at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, Louisiana, Lafayette Parish, Julien Helaire married Eugenie Hebert. She was born in Youngsville, Louisiana on 15 April 1852 to Aurelien Hebert and Azema Boudreaux. Eugenie died of heart failure at the age of 71 in Youngsville, Louisiana on 29 March 1929 and was laid to rest in Saint Anne Catholic Cemetery the following day, 30 March 1929.
